Our family Project is located on 115 hectares. Rolling pasture hills, mixed forest with oaks and medronho and alot of eucalyptus to be regenerated.

Current Status: Pioneering Stage
At Aniche we aim toward practising a sustainable way of life, living in tune with nature and sharing a community lifestyle with like-minded people who want to become part of the project long-term.
Our vision is to build an organic farm, a forest school and a space for workshops and eco-tourism.
We also intend for this place to have room for people to grow, and for developing conscious events and social projects.
In order to support the low ground water level and to regenerate the land we created several rain collection ponds and a lake. There is also a natural creek and beautiful natural views.
Who We Are
Our family arrived here first on 2017. Since then we have been working with the help of other families and volunteers to create this little paradise.
On March 2020 we moved to the land after developing the first stages of water and electricity off grid infrustructure.
This is not a community project per definition.
Our goal is to live close to other families and create togetherness, but we try to avoid using the definition "community" because it leads to specific interpatations for different people.
Currently, living here, long term, just 2 families with 3 kids, 5.5, 6 and 7.5 years old and one single woman. Usually we share the place with short term guests and volunteers, around 3-4 more single volunteers and 1-2 more families.
Our animals live here too, horses, chickens, ducks, dogs and cats.
At begining of 2024 we finished building 4 comfortable apartments to welcome more families to come to live with us.
It is possible to share contribution for a spot with own trailer and soon we will have the new option to rent an apartment.
We aim to work together one day a week on infrastructure maintenance and to clean, organise and improve what we have.
We like to meet for shared meals, parties and for our children to play but also keep our private spaces.
